Sometimes art is all I can think about and then other times, like this past month, life just creates so much excitement and chaos that I have to focus on that for a while. The long short of it is I found out in April that I’m having a baby in December and just bought a house to put said baby. Exciting, right? Long hiatus totally justified.
It also means that I can’t derby until post baby, so instead I’ll be volunteering for my league, and I’ve also decided to create a line of greeting cards that are focused on derby. Rebbles Art Cards. I’m hoping to have a few to sell at the next Deathbridge Derby Dames home game on July 7th, and I will also figure out a way to sell them online.
I’ve come up with a few card concepts already; Get Well Soon, Thank Yous to Volunteers, Referees and Derby Widows etc. Who knows, these may branch off into other kinds of cards or printed art, but I’m just going to focus on a few designs for now.
